About Us

MAJ Nathan Kiser

Major Nathan Kiser is the Deputy Commander for Administration for U.S. Army MEDDAC-West Point and Deputy Director for the West Point Market where he is responsible for the strategic plan development and execution as well as the administrative functions within the organization that support the readiness of the force.  
 
He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and was commissioned in the Army Medical Service Corps. In 2017, he earned a Master of Health Administration from the Army-Baylor University Graduate Program in Health and Business Administration.
 
His military service began in 2004 as Fire Direction Specialist in the Mississippi Army National Guard and deployed to Iraq in 2005. Upon his return, he enrolled at Mississippi State University and joined the Reserve Officers’ Training Corp (ROTC). After commissioning, he was assigned as the Assistant Medical Operations Officer for 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, NY, and deployed to Afghanistan from 2010-2011, where he also served as the Medical Operations Officer for 1st Squadron, 71st Cavalry Regiment.
 
His follow-on assignment was Chief, Managed Care Division, Lyster Army Health Clinic, Fort Rucker, AL. He also commanded the medical company at that location.  After command, he attended the Army-Baylor University Graduate Program in Health and Business Administration at Fort Sam Houston, TX, followed by an Administrative Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), Nashville, TN. He served as the Executive Officer and later the Chief, Clinical Support Division at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, TN. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Deputy Commander for Administration for U.S. Army MEDDAC-Fort Irwin and Deputy Director for the California Desert Market.
 
His military awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, and the Humanitarian Service Medal.  He also holds the Combat Action Badge.
