The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Preventive Care

The Keller Army Community Hospital's Community Influenza Event is scheduled for
November 6th (12 p.m. - 6 p.m.) and 7th (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.), 2024, at Eisenhower Hall;
and November 13th (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.), 2024, at Keller Army Community Hospital. 
The Military Health System is committed to the long-term health and vitality of our nation’s warfighters, their families, retirees, and civilians. Part of maintaining readiness is preventing the onset of diseases and injuries that pose a threat to the defense community. 

Preventive medicine can assist beneficiaries in planning, coordinating, and directing a program to maintain health, improve physical fitness, and prevent disease and injury.
