Active Duty
Keller Army Community Hospital’s Primary Care Clinic provides primary care to all TRICARE PRIME patients enrolled to their clinic, and to non-enrolled patients as space permits.
Treatment for acute minor illness, preventive and wellness care, routine care for chronic illness, and referrals are provided. Procedures include pelvic exams, pulmonary function testing, EKGs, and various minor surgeries. Registered Nurses provide information to patients via telephone as appropriate.
Keller’s Primary Care Blue team provide Active Duty care:
- The Blue Team - a combination of Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Providers caring only for the adult patients. Our aviators will be assigned to this clinic.
Active duty care includes ‘medical readiness.’ Medical readiness is making sure the Warrior can serve without limitations.
Managing Individual Medical Readiness is every Soldier’s Duty. The minimum Individual Medical Readiness Requirements must be met for a Soldier to be considered deployable and retainable.
The three “must do” medical readiness services:
- Annual DoD PHA
- Annual Dental Exam
- Dental Class 3 Treatment for Deployability
