1SG Tia L. Reedy

1st Sgt. Tia L. Reedy is the First Sergeant, Headquarters Company, Keller Army Community Hospital. She was born in Ohio and gradated Orrville High School in May 2006. She attended the post-secondary program at Wayne College her Junior and Senior year and graduated high school as a sophomore in college. She then attended Kent State University and Stark State Technical College before joining the Army in March 2010. She joined the Army as a 68W Healthcare Specialist.
 
Reedy’s previous duty assignments include: Health Care Specialist and Ambulance Aid/Driver in 75th MCAS in South Korea, Health Care Sergeant and Operations NCO at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, Health Care Sergeant at the 25th Infantry Division Lightning Academy in Hawaii, Platoon Sergeant for the Evacuation Platoon and the Treatment Platoon for C Co, 210 BSB at Fort Drum, NY, Senior Small Group Leader at the Noncommissioned Officer Academy at Fort Drum, NY, Senior Drill Sergeant at 260th INF BN at Fort Jackson, SC, and Operations NCOIC for Keller Army Community Hospital at West Point, NY . This includes a deployment to Afghanistan where she was the was the Platoon Sergeant, acting First Sergeant and covered many additional duties and positions.
 
Reedy’s military schools include: Combatives level one and two, Basic Leaders Course, Unit Prevention Leader, Air Assault, Field Sanitary Team, Rappel Master, Advanced Leader Course, Equal Opportunity, SHARP Foundation Course, Senior Leader Course, Common Faculty Development Instructor Course, Drill Sergeant, Master Fitness Trainer, and Master Resilience Trainer. She has also completed her bachelor’s degree in Sports and Health Sciences with a concentration in Exercise Science.
 
Reedy’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with R (Remote) Device, Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (1OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal 4th Award, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Afghanistan Armed Forces Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon 3rd Award, Overseas Service Ribbon (2 OLC), Air Assault Badge, and Drill Sergeant Badge.
