Keller ACH Earns Full Transparency Badge from The Leapfrog Group

WEST POINT, N.Y. — Keller Army Community Hospital has earned the Leapfrog Full Transparency Badge, recognizing the hospital's commitment to publicly reporting information about patient safety and quality through the annual Leapfrog Hospital Survey. The Full Transparency Badge is awarded to hospitals that complete, affirm, and submit all sections of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, one of the nation's leading voluntary reporting programs focused on patient safety, quality, and transparency.

DoW-VA partnership provides increased access to care for Hudson Valley Veterans

KELLER ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, N.Y. — Keller Army Community Hospital staff and a Dept. of Veteran Affairs provider executed an initial round of Endocrinology Fine Needle Aspiration. This access to care was previously not available at Keller, but was executed due to the Department of War-VA strategic partnership that was established in April 2024.

The national recognition underscores Keller’s unwavering commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment for both patients and surgical staff by effectively eliminating the hazards of surgical smoke.

Keller Army Community Hospital will be implementing ‘ambient listening’ technology to strengthen the patient-provider care experience by helping our providers focus more on YOU – the beneficiary – and less on their computer screens. Ambient listening is a secure voice recognition technology that helps providers create clinical notes.

Keller researcher selected for 2026 DHA Academic Degree Program

KELLER ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, N.Y. — Michael Aderman, a member of the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Research team at Keller Army Community Hospital, was competitively selected for the 2026 Defense Health Agency Academic Degree Program from more than 200 highly qualified applicants.

Soldiers from Keller Army Community Hospital conduct indoor drone training to become proficient with the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS). The training is one of many step for Keller's Project MARS (Medical Autonomous Resupply System) which is actively working to integrate drone technology into military medical operations to enhance Warfighter's health and safety.

Keller researcher receives NATA recognition

KELLER ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, N.Y. — CONGRATULATIONS to Kenneth L. Cameron, PhD, MPH, ATC, FNATA who was selected to receive the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA) Foundation’s 2026 Medal for Distinguished Athletic Training Research. Cameron is Director of Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Research, John A. Feagin Sports Medicine Fellowship at Keller Army Community Hospital.

Keller receives The Leapfrog Group Top General Hospital Award

KELLER ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, N.Y. — Keller Army Community Hospital receives the ‘Top General Hospital Award’ from The Leapfrog Group for demonstrating the highest performance in the nation on quality and patient safety, including ethical billing and informed patient consent procedures, lower infection rates, prevention of medication errors, and surgical safety.

Robert Torres III, a Certified Surgical Technologist in Keller Army Community Hospital’s Department of Surgery, was selected as a 2025 Fellow of the Association of Surgical Technologists.
