Keller Army Community Hospital, in alignment with the American Physical Therapy Association, recognize October as National Physical Therapy Month. This year's theme – ‘falls prevention’ – highlights the work of physical therapist to reduce the risk of falls, to assist patients with fall-related injuries, and to help people with fall-related injuries return to work/sports.
Depression is more than just feeling a little "blue" for a few days. It's a common but serious medical condition that can affect anyone – men, women, children, and older adults – at any time, at any age. On average, approximately 16 million new cases of depression are diagnosed in the U.S. each year; yet less than two-thirds of people diagnosed ever receive care. Keller will talk more about depression (on our Facebook/Instagram pages) to educate, to bring awareness and to normalize mental health discussions. #EndTheStigma
