The Orthopedic Surgery Service at Keller Army Community Hospital, home of the world-renowned John A. Feagin Jr. Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship, delivers exceptional care for musculoskeletal disorders of the extremities, emphasizing shoulder, hip, and knee conditions. Our team excels in addressing a broad spectrum of issues, from everyday injuries like tendonitis and minor fractures to complex cases such as multi-ligament knee reconstructions and joint replacements. We provide both nonoperative and operative treatments, offering advanced, personalized surgical solutions to optimize patient outcomes. Below is a partial list of our capabilities.

Services Provided

  • Shoulder:

    • Rotator cuff repair (for rotator cuff tears)
    • Labral repair (for labral tears, shoulder dislocations)
    • Total shoulder replacement (for arthritis)
    • Reverse shoulder replacement (for severe arthritis, irreparable rotator cuff tears)
    • Arthroscopic debridement (for impingement, minor arthritis)
    • Fracture fixation (for proximal humerus and clavicle fractures)
  • Knee:

    • ACL reconstruction (for anterior cruciate ligament tears)
    • Meniscus repair or debridement (for meniscus tears)
    • Total knee replacement (for arthritis)
    • Partial knee replacement (for localized arthritis)
    • PCL reconstruction (for posterior cruciate ligament tears)
    • Arthroscopic chondroplasty and cartilage repair (for cartilage damage)
    • Fracture fixation (for distal femur, proximal tibia, or patella fractures)
  • Elbow:

    • Ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction (Tommy John surgery, for ligament tears)
    • Arthroscopic loose body removal (for loose cartilage or bone fragments)
    • Fracture fixation (for distal humerus, radius, or olecranon fractures)
    • Tennis elbow release (for lateral epicondylitis)
  • Wrist and Hand:

    • Carpal tunnel release (for carpal tunnel syndrome)
    • Trigger finger release (for stenosing tenosynovitis)
    • Fracture fixation (for distal radius, scaphoid, or metacarpal fractures) ич tendon injuries)
    • Arthroscopic wrist debridement (for ligament tears or arthritis)
  • Hip:

    • Hip arthroscopy (for labral tears, impingement)
  • Ankle:

    • Ankle arthroscopy (for impingement, cartilage damage)
    • Ligament repair or reconstruction (for ankle instability)
    • Fracture fixation (for foot & ankle fractures)
  • Non-Operative Management:

    • Physical therapy and rehabilitation (for sprains, strains, contusions)
    • Injections (cortisone, hyaluronic acid for joint pain)
    • Bracing and immobilization (for fractures, ligament injuries)

 * This specialty is also available to Tricare Prime Remote Beneficiaries assigned to a civilian provider. Beneficiaries must contact their civilian PCM and have referrals placed through the Humana Military Portal. PCMs are advised to state Keller Army Community Hospital Orthopedics in the referral to ensure our clinic receives the referral in a timely manner.
