CSM Julie C. Morris enlisted in the Army April 2004. She completed Basic Combat Training (BCT) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. CSM Morris graduated Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, Texas where she earned the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 68R, Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist.
CSM Morris’s military education includes the Sergeants Major Academy; JMESI-Intermediate Executive Skills; Practice Managers Course, Health Services Plans, OPS, Intel, Security, and Training (70H); Public Health Emergency Management; Master Resiliency Training; AIT Platoon Sergeant; Company Commander and First Sergeant Pre-command; SHARP/VA Course; Equal Opportunity Leaders Course; Senior Leaders Course; Advanced Leaders Course; Basic Leaders Course; Unit Prevention Leaders Course; Field Sanitation (Team and Individual); and Combat Lifesavers Course. CSM Morris holds a Bachelor's Degree from Columbia College.
CSM Morris previously served as a Sergeant Major, First Sergeant, Operations & Training NCO, AIT Platoon Sergeant, Food Inspection NCO, and Squad Leader. CSM Morris served one year in Afghanistan with the 44th Medical Brigade, 64th Medical Detachment Veterinary Support Services (MDVSS), in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
CSM Morris’s awards include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and the Korean Defense Service Medal. She is a member of the Order of Military Medical Merit (O2M3) and recipient of the Veterinary Service's Colonel Cliff Walker Leadership Award.
